Title 33 › Chapter 52— WATER INFRASTRUCTURE FINANCE AND INNOVATION › § 3913

Last updated Apr 5, 2026|Official source

Summary

After each fiscal year in which money is used under this chapter, the Secretary and the Administrator must put certain records on a public website. They must post every application they got for help under this chapter. They must also post a list of the projects they chose. That list must say what each project is, how much money each project will get, and why each project was chosen under the chapter's rules. Not later than 3 years after October 23, 2018, the Comptroller General must send a report to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. The report must summarize the applications and the projects that received help, the money given, how the projects are doing financially and whether the chapter's goals are being met, the public benefits like water quality, drinking water protection, or reduced flood risk, and whether outside public or private money can be attracted. The report must also evaluate the effect of the limitation in section 3907(a)(5), recommend whether to keep the current authority, create a Government corporation or Government-sponsored enterprise, or end Federal authority and rely on capital markets, and suggest changes to make the program work better.
