Title 33 › Chapter 15— FLOOD CONTROL › § 701b–2
To carry out the Act of June 22, 1936 (49 Stat. 1570), the Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of Agriculture may work with schools, groups, people, and federal, state, or other public agencies. They can pay those agencies by check before or after services for estimated or actual costs. They may also spend money for staff pay and rent, reference and law books and periodicals, printing and binding, and for buying, trading, running, and fixing official motor vehicles and motorboats, plus other needed expenses. These rules also apply to money already provided for watershed work to reduce run-off, slow water flow, and prevent soil erosion.
