The Attorney General must set up and run family-friendly policies for Justice Department law‑enforcement offices. They must study how stress affects officers and their families and share what they learn (including work done under the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act of 2017 (Public Law 115–113; 131 Stat. 2276)), find and evaluate model support programs, offer training and technical help on stress reduction, mental health, suicide prevention, and family support, share information with federal, state, and local agencies and groups, and choose what the Department and grant recipients should research.
