Within 1 year after data collection begins, and every year after, the Director of the Office for Victims of Crime must send a report to the Senate and House Judiciary Committees. The report must describe, as far as the data allow, the kinds, scope, and amounts of funding under the Victims of Crime Act of 1984 for victims who are elders. The report must analyze how elder abuse victims were helped through victim services, victim compensation, and discretionary grants — including help for financial abuse, exploitation, and fraud — and must give recommendations for improving services for elder abuse victims.
