§151707 Provision and Acceptance of Support by Librarian of Congress

Summary

The Librarian of Congress can provide staff, space, and other administrative help to the corporation. That help can include reimbursing expenses under section 151703(f) at rates that do not exceed the U.S. Government per diem rates. The corporation must pay back the Librarian for this support, and those payments go into the U.S. Treasury to the current appropriation that covers the cost. The Librarian can also accept the corporation’s directors, officers, and employees as unpaid volunteers to do work allowed under this law, without following certain federal pay and personnel rules in title 5.
