Title 37 › Chapter 17— MISCELLANEOUS RIGHTS AND BENEFITS › § 909
The Secretary of the military department may let service members who are involuntarily kept on active duty under section 123 or 12305 of title 10, or under another law, keep getting the same special or incentive pay they had just before being retained. That pay must be for qualifying service during the retention period and cannot be cut because of their years of service. This does not apply if the President or the Secretary of Defense suspends that pay during a time of war. Qualifying service means the service that makes that specific pay payable under chapter 5.
