The Secretary must create care and coordination teams for covered children. Those teams must try to contact each child at least every 180 days to check on care and help with any needed changes, and they must contact a child as soon as possible after learning of a condition on a trigger list. Within 180 days after enactment, the Secretary must send a report to the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs of the House of Representatives listing the conditions that will trigger that quick outreach.
