Keeps the National Service Life Insurance fund in place and lets the government use money from the Treasury, as needed, to pay liabilities under this chapter and the National Service Life Insurance Act of 1940. Payments must follow awards made by the Secretary. Premiums paid for policies issued or reinstated under section 602(v)(1) when the good-health rule was waived because of a service-related injury or disability must go directly into that fund, and benefits for those policies must be paid from it.
