If you get educational benefits under this law, you can also get payment to cover fees for licensing or certification tests listed in section 3452(b). The payment cannot be more than the smallest of three things: $2,000, the actual test fee, or the amount of your remaining educational benefit when the test is paid. The amount taken from your benefit is prorated using the test fee compared to a one‑month rate of $1,460 for the academic year starting August 1, 2011. For later years, that one‑month rate is last year’s rate increased by the most recent percentage increase set under section 3015(h).
