§6309 Biennial Report to Congress

Summary
The Secretary of Veterans Affairs must send Congress a report about the Department’s outreach work by December 1 of every even-numbered year, starting in 2008. Each report must explain how the current two-year plan under section 6302 was carried out during the previous fiscal year and must give suggestions for improving or more effectively running the Department’s outreach activities.

(a)The Secretary shall, not later than December 1 of every even-numbered year (beginning in 2008), submit to Congress a report on the outreach activities carried out by the Department.
(b)Each report under this section shall include the following:
(1)A description of the implementation during the preceding fiscal year of the current biennial plan under section 6302 of this title.
(2)Recommendations for the improvement or more effective administration of the outreach activities of the Department.
