Title 38 › Part VI— ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY › Chapter 81— ACQUISITION AND OPERATION OF HOSPITAL AND DOMICILIARY FACILITIES; PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY; ENHANCED-USE LEASES OF REAL PROPERTY › Subchapter V— ENHANCED-USE LEASES OF REAL PROPERTY › § 8168
Within 120 days after the Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012 was enacted, and at least once a year after that, the Secretary must send a report about enhanced-use leases to the congressional veterans’ affairs committees, the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, and the House and Senate Budget Committees. The report must say what the Secretary did to run the leases, show the amounts put into the Medical Care Collection Fund account from those leases for the most recent fiscal year, explain how those amounts were used, and include supporting Department documents. Each year, as part of the President’s budget submission under section 1105(a) of title 31, the Secretary must also give a detailed report for each enhanced-use lease to the same committees. For each lease, the report must explain how the payment helps veterans, show the amount received, list any other money or in-kind help from the lessee, state the costs to the Secretary for the lease, and include supporting Department documents.
