The Secretary may start and take part in court cases or other legal actions to get ownership and control of property the law lets the Department accept. The Secretary can spend what is needed for those actions, and those costs are paid like other Department administrative expenses. Any money received by gift, under a will, or otherwise for the purposes here — including net money from sales allowed by this law — must be handed to the Treasurer of the United States and placed in the General Post Fund.
