People may not be treated unfairly because they opposed illegal acts under this law or because they filed a charge, testified, helped, or took part in an investigation, hearing, or case under it. It is also illegal to force, scare, threaten, or interfere with someone using their rights or helping others use theirs. People who are harmed can use the remedies and procedures in sections 12117, 12133, and 12188 of this title for violations of the protections above with respect to subchapter I, subchapter II and subchapter III, respectively.
