Title 42 › Chapter 16— NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION › § 1885d
The Director must send a report by January 30 of each odd-numbered year to Congress, the Attorney General, the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, the Chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, and the Secretaries of Labor, Education, and Health and Human Services. The report compares participation of women and men by sex, race, ethnic group, and field. It must give counts by job type (permanent/temporary, full-/part-time, by level), average pay, promotion counts and types, how many are principal investigators on federal research, and unemployment for people seeking these jobs. It also reports how many women and minorities study science, engineering, math, and computer skills at all education levels, and any other data or analysis the Director, after advice from the Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering, finds needed to carry out the Foundation’s work and the policies and programs of sections 1885 to 1885d.
