§2996g Records and Reports

Summary

The Corporation can require reports and records from any grantee, contractor, or other person or group that gets money under this part. It can set rules for keeping those records and can look at them at reasonable times to make sure rules and contracts are followed. The Corporation must publish one annual report and send it to the President and Congress. That report must include a description of services under section 2996f(a)(2)(C)(i) and (ii) of this title. Copies of reports used for evaluations, inspections, or monitoring must be given promptly to the grantee, contractor, or recipient and kept in the Corporation’s main office for at least five years after the review. The reports are open for public inspection during normal business hours, and copies must be supplied on request for a reasonable fee. Before issuing rules, regulations, guidelines, or instructions, the Corporation must give notice, let interested parties comment, and publish them in the Federal Register at least 30 days before they take effect.
