§3221 Brownfields Redevelopment Report

Summary

Requires the Comptroller General to prepare, by no later than 1 year after October 27, 2004, a report that evaluates Economic Development Administration grants used for redeveloping brownfield sites. The term "brownfield site" is defined in section 9601(39) of this title. The report must list every project in the prior 10 years that used those grant funds and, for each project, describe the economic activities, any cleanup done (type and dollars spent and percent of the grant), the standards used, the project's economic impact, any role by Federal, State, or local environmental agencies, and public participation. A copy must be sent to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
