Title 44 › Chapter 15— FEDERAL REGISTER AND CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS › § 1509
The Government Publishing Office must pay for printing the Federal Register and the Code of Federal Regulations from the revolving fund in section 309. Federal agencies must reimburse the GPO for those costs, and those payments and other receipts are credited to that fund under section 309(b). Costs for other Federal Register program publications come from the GPO’s regular appropriations. Those appropriations may be increased if needed, based on cost estimates the GPO Director submits.
