The Director can order one agency to share information with another, and an agency can share information with another, as long as the sharing follows the law. If an agency gives information to another agency, the people in the receiving agency must follow the same rules and face the same penalties for improper disclosure as the people in the agency that originally got the information. They are also treated the same as if their agency had collected the information itself.
