§3513 Director Review of Agency Activities; Reporting; Agency Response

Summary

The Director must, after talking with the Administrator of General Services, the Archivist of the United States, the Director of NIST, and the Director of OPM, periodically review selected agency information management activities. The reviews check how efficient and effective agencies are at managing information and using it to do their work and meet their missions. Any agency reviewed must, within 60 days after getting the review report, send the Director a written plan with steps and milestones to fix the problems the report found and to improve performance and mission results. The Director must treat a rule or order from the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau the same way as one from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, regardless of other laws.
