The Director must work with the Administrator of General Services, the Archivist of the United States, the Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management to periodically review selected agency information resources management activities. The reviews check whether those activities are efficient and help agencies meet their missions. Any agency reviewed must, within 60 days after getting the review report, send the Director a written plan with steps and milestones to fix problems and improve performance. The Director must treat or review any rule or order from the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection on the same terms as rules or orders from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
