Title 47 › Chapter 1— TELEGRAPHS › § 12
Require the Attorney General to protect the United States' legal claims (liens) on telegraph lines that railroad and telegraph companies were required to build and legally own under sections 9–15. The Attorney General must bring court cases to stop illegal interference, have courts decide all claims by people or companies who say they control or own those telegraph lines or rights‑of‑way, and cancel any contracts or contract parts that the companies made illegally or beyond their power.
