Title 47 › Chapter 13— PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM AUCTIONS › Subchapter V— NEXT GENERATION 9–1–1 ADVANCEMENT ACT OF 2012 › § 1472
Gives legal protection from federal and state lawsuits to providers and users of Next Generation 9-1-1, public safety answering points, and their officers, staff, vendors, agents, or any authorizing government body. Covers sharing subscriber information tied to emergency calls, using or providing 9-1-1, E9-1-1, or Next Generation 9-1-1 services, and other related matters. The protection is the same as the protection in section 615a for wireless carriers, public safety answering points, and wireless 9-1-1 users (see section 615b).
