Title 47 › Chapter 15— SECURE AND TRUSTED COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS › § 1604
Providers of advanced communications service must send a yearly report to the Commission, in a form the Commission sets, saying whether they bought, rented, leased, or otherwise obtained any covered communications equipment or service on or after August 14, 2018 for items on the initial list, or on or after the date that is 60 days after the Commission adds an item to the list. If a provider tells the Commission it has no covered equipment or service in its network, it does not have to keep filing the annual report unless it later obtains any. If a provider does report obtaining covered equipment or service, the report must include a detailed reason for the acquisition, whether that equipment or service has been removed and replaced under section 1603, and whether the provider plans to keep acquiring, installing, or using it and why. The Commission must put these reporting rules into effect as part of the rulemaking done under section 1603(g).
