Certain parts of this chapter stop being effective on the dates or when the events listed below happen. On March 17, 2000, several specified parts of sections 721(a), 721(b), 721(c), 733, 734, 751, 752, and parts of 753(a) and 753(c) end. When INTELSAT transfers its assets to a successor company and signatories or former signatories (including COMSAT) get ownership shares in that successor under arrangements set by INTELSAT to carry out privatization, section 735 ends. When the Commission orders that Inmarsat privatization meets the tests in sections 763 and 763c, sections 753(b) and 753(d) end. When the Commission orders that INTELSAT privatization meets the tests in sections 763 and 763a, a set of sections including 701; part of 702; certain parts of 721(a) and 721(c); and sections 731, 732, and 741–744 end.
