§2211 Definitions

Lists and explains the key words used in the subchapter. Act 76 means Puerto Rico Act 76–2000 (3 L.P.R.A. 1931 et seq.), approved on May 5, 2000, as amended. Critical Project means a project fast-tracked under this subchapter to deal with an emergency. Energy Commission of Puerto Rico means the agency created by Subtitle B of Puerto Rico Act 57–2014. Energy Projects covers work on making, moving, or delivering energy. Emergency means a serious event or breakdown that harms essential services, public health, safety, or sensitive ecosystems and includes problems in energy, water, sewer, solid waste, roads, ports, and telecommunications, and as defined by section 1 of Act 76 (3 L.P.R.A. 1931). Environmental Quality Board means the board set up by section 7 of Puerto Rico Act 416–2004 (12 L.P.R.A. 8002a). Expedited Permitting Process means alternative fast procedures like those in Act 76 (3 L.P.R.A. 1932) and does not replace or override any Federal law. Governor means the Governor of Puerto Rico. Interagency Environmental Subcommittee means the Interagency Subcommittee on Expedited Environmental Regulations described in section 2214. Legislature means the Legislature of Puerto Rico. Planning Board means the Puerto Rico Planning Board created by Puerto Rico Act 75–1975 (23 L.P.R.A. 62 et seq.). Project Sponsor means a Puerto Rico Agency or private party proposing an existing, ongoing, or new infrastructure or Energy Project. Puerto Rico Agency or Agencies means any Puerto Rico government board, department, public corporation, commission, municipality, official, or similar instrumentality with regulatory or permitting power, excluding the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the judicial branch. Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority means the authority set up by Puerto Rico Act 83–1941.
