If the chapter does not give another criminal punishment, a rail carrier covered by these rules — or, if the carrier is a corporation, its directors, officers, receivers, trustees, lessees, or people acting for or employed by it — who intentionally break the part or an order can be fined up to $5,000. They can also be jailed for up to 2 years, and each day the violation continues counts as a separate offense.
