Title 5 › Part I— THE AGENCIES GENERALLY › Chapter 10— FEDERAL ADVISORY COMMITTEES › § 1011
Agencies must keep records that show how any money for their advisory committees was spent and what the committees did. For Presidential advisory committees, the General Services Administration, or another agency the President names, must keep the financial records. The Comptroller General, or a person the Comptroller General authorizes, can review those records to audit them. Agencies must also provide support services for any advisory committee they set up or supervise, unless the group that created the committee says otherwise. If a committee reports to more than one agency, only one agency at a time will provide support. For Presidential advisory committees, the General Services Administration may give the support services.
