§3172 Presidential Innovation Fellows Program Advisory Board

Summary

The head of the General Services Administration must keep an advisory board to help the Presidential Innovation Fellows Program. The board’s job is to suggest priorities and standards and help find projects and placements for fellows. The board cannot take part in choosing who the fellows will be. The Administrator must pick a chair. Members include the Deputy Director for Management at the Office of Management and Budget, the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, the Administrator for Electronic Government at OMB, the President’s Chief Technology Officer, and others the Administrator names. The board can talk with businesses, universities, and nonprofits to find ways to use advanced skills and new ideas to solve big national problems.
