§411 Special Provisions Concerning the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation

Summary

The Chairperson of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation may give the power described in the second sentence of section 403(a) to the Vice Chairperson, but may not give that power to any other officer or employee. Even though paragraphs (7) and (8) of section 406(a) say otherwise, the FDIC Inspector General may hire the officers and employees needed for the Office of Inspector General and may obtain temporary or intermittent experts, consultants, or expert organizations, following the laws and rules that apply inside the Corporation.
