If an employee gets money for serving as a juror or witness while they are on leave under section 6322(a) or on official duty under section 6322(b), that money must be applied against the U.S. or D.C. pay they would get for the same time. This rule covers federal employees (see section 2105) and D.C. employees, except those whose pay is handled by the Secretary of the Senate, the House Chief Administrative Officer, or the Chief of the Capitol Police.
