Federal employees, or people who work for a U.S. territory, possession, or the District of Columbia, who go on active military duty have a choice about their unused annual (vacation) leave. They can either get a one-time payment for their accumulated and current accrued annual leave on top of their military pay, or they can leave the time on their record to use when they return from duty.
