Under rules made under this subchapter and despite subchapter V of chapter 55 or any other law, an agency head may, if a foreign-area employee asks, give equal compensatory time off instead of regularly scheduled overtime at isolated posts or at posts with irregular hours or special conditions (to be used in the same pay period). Any unused comp time is lost when the employee is reassigned.
