The Executive Director may issue subpoenas that order people to give documents, records, electronic data, or other materials needed to do the work under these subchapters. Anyone who in good faith follows a subpoena cannot be sued in any state or federal court. If someone refuses, a U.S. district court where the investigation or person is located must order compliance and may punish contempt. The Executive Director must make rules for this.
