Defines key words used in this part. Administrator is the person the Secretary appoints under section 4234. Affected Aleut villages are Akutan, Atka, Nikolski, Saint George, Saint Paul, Unalaska, and Attu, Alaska. Association is the Aleutian/Pribilof Islands Association, Inc. (a nonprofit of Alaska). Corporation is the Aleut Corporation (a for‑profit of Alaska, established under section 1606 of title 43). Eligible Aleut means any Aleut living on August 10, 1988 who was relocated as a civilian by the United States from the Pribilof Islands or the Aleutian Islands west of Unimak to an internment camp or other temporary site during World War II, or who was born while their mother was relocated. Secretary means the Secretary of the Interior; Fund means the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands Restitution Fund (section 4233); World War II means December 7, 1941 to September 2, 1945.
