Title 51 › Subtitle Subtitle VI— Earth Observations › Chapter 603— REMOTE SENSING › § 60304
The Administrator must create an advisory committee of experts from State, local, regional, and tribal agencies, university researchers, and the remote sensing and geospatial industries to watch over the program created by this law. The committee must work with the Federal Geographic Data Committee and other industry groups and will stay in place until the program ends, even if other rules would normally end it. By December 31, 2009, the Administrator must send Congress an evaluation, done by an independent group, of how well the program helps agencies use remote sensing and other geospatial information together to meet State, local, regional, and tribal needs.
