Creates a CyberSentry program inside the Agency to give continuous monitoring and detection of cyber risks to critical infrastructure industrial control systems, when an owner or operator asks and agrees. The Director must use CyberSentry to form partnerships (as the Director decides and if resources allow) with owners of regionally or nationally important systems to provide continuous monitoring, threat detection, and other technical help; use sensitive or classified cyber intelligence to advise and share information as appropriate; find and help fix vulnerabilities in the IT that supports those control systems; produce anonymized, combined reports with findings and recommendations; and support activities authorized under section 1501 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022. The Agency’s Privacy Officer must, not later than 180 days after December 27, 2021, review CyberSentry’s policies for compliance with all applicable privacy laws and report to the House and Senate homeland security committees whether CyberSentry complies or identify noncompliance. The Director must give those committees a briefing and written report not later than one year after December 27, 2021. The program may not be used to force the Federal Government to obtain information from public remote computing or electronic service providers when disclosure is barred under section 2702 of title 18. The program’s authority ends seven years after December 27, 2021. industrial control system — an information system used to monitor or control industrial processes, such as SCADA, distributed control systems (DCS), human‑machine interfaces (HMIs), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
