Title 7 › Chapter 42— AGRICULTURAL COMMODITY SET-ASIDE › § 1741
The Commodity Credit Corporation must, as the Secretary of Agriculture decides is practicable, set aside specific amounts from its price‑support inventories that came from 1954 and earlier crops. The limits are: Wheat — max 500,000,000 bushels, min 400,000,000; Upland cotton — max 4,000,000 bales, min 3,000,000; Cottonseed oil — 500,000,000 pounds; Butter — 200,000,000 pounds; Nonfat dry milk solids — 300,000,000 pounds; Cheese — 150,000,000 pounds. These amounts are called the "commodity set-aside."
