Title 7 › Chapter 50— AGRICULTURAL CREDIT › Subchapter I— REAL ESTATE LOANS › § 1933
Allows certain rural home loans to be exempt from sections 501(c) and 502(b)(3) of the Housing Act of 1949. To qualify, a loan must be guaranteed by the Secretary under section 517(a)(2), made by a Secretary‑approved lender for the borrower’s own rural home, and carry interest and fees no higher than the maximum HUD rates for similar privately made, HUD‑guaranteed loans under the National Housing Act. For title V or this chapter, the Secretary will consider a payment guarantee from the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (or its successor) as reasonably assuring repayment of the debt it guarantees.
