Title 7 › CHAPTER 9 — PACKERS AND STOCKYARDS › SUBCHAPTER V — GENERAL PROVISIONS › § 228b–1
Live poultry dealers must pay sellers in full. For cash purchases, they must pay by the close of the next business day after the purchase. For poultry bought under a growing arrangement, they must pay by the close of the fifteenth day after the week birds were slaughtered. Delaying payment is an unfair practice. A cash sale is when the seller did not let the buyer pay later.
