Defines key words used in the chapter. "Agricultural products" does not include cotton, tobacco, or their products. "Association of producers" means groups of agricultural producers that work together on marketing, bargaining, shipping, or processing, and it also covers organizations made up only of producers that promote their common interests. "Handler" means a person or business that buys or receives farm products from producers to sell or process, or that grades, packs, stores, handles, processes them, or makes contracts or acts as an agent or broker for those duties; it does not include someone who only provides custom feeding services unless they are a packer. "Producer" means a person who grows or raises agricultural products, such as a farmer, rancher, dairyman, or fruit, vegetable, or nut grower.
