Title 7 › Chapter 87— EXPORT PROMOTION › Subchapter III— BARRIERS TO EXPORTS › § 5652
The Secretary of Agriculture may use some or all of the Department of Agriculture’s commercial export promotion programs and Commodity Credit Corporation programs to help offset harm to U.S. products when the United States has started an international trade dispute about an unfair trade practice and that dispute is stopped because the other country refused to let it proceed. For each affected product, the Secretary must quickly talk with the industry and other related groups about specific actions or a combined marketing plan that uses those export programs. The Secretary must find out how the industry wants the programs used and must consider those preferences when acting.
