For the 1996 through 2001 crops of loan commodities, peanuts, and sugar, and for milk from April 4, 1996 through December 31, 2002, many parts and sections of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938 do not apply. That suspension covers several subtitles and parts of the Act, including rules about price supports and programs tied to peanuts, upland cotton, sugar, and milk. For the 1996 through 2002 crops of loan commodities, peanuts, and sugar, and for milk from April 4, 1996 through December 31, 2002, many parts of the Agricultural Act of 1949 do not apply. This includes specific sections (101, 103(a), 105, 107, 110, 112, 115, and 201) and larger parts such as Titles III, IV (except sections 404, 412, and 416), V, and VI. The law also removes (repeals) sections 101B, 103B, 105B, 107B, 108B, 113, 114(b) and (c), 205–207, and 406 and 427 of the 1949 Act. Finally, section 1340 of this title does not apply to wheat planted for harvest in the calendar years 1996 through 2002.
