Title 7 › Chapter 106— COMMODITY PROGRAMS › Subchapter VI— ADMINISTRATION › § 7992
It stops many long-standing price-support rules for certain farm products for a set time. The change means those listed parts of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938 do not apply to the 2002 through 2007 crops of covered commodities, peanuts, and sugar, and they do not apply to milk from May 13, 2002 through December 31, 2007. The 1938 items include Parts II–V of subtitle B of title III, section 377 for upland cotton, subtitle D of title III, and title IV. It also says many parts of the Agricultural Act of 1949 do not apply to the 2002 through 2007 crops of covered commodities, peanuts, and sugar, and not to milk for the same May 13–December 31, 2007 period. The 1949 items include sections 101, 103(a), 105, 107, 110, 112, 115, 201; title III; title IV (except sections 404, 412, and 416); title V; and title VI. Finally, the 1941 joint resolution about corn and wheat marketing quotas does not apply to wheat planted for harvest in calendar years 2002 through 2007.
