Asparagus use of chlorpyrifos terminated

You may not use Pilot 15G Chlorpyrifos Agricultural Insecticide (EPA Reg. No. 93182-8) on asparagus after January 3, 2025. The EPA approved Gharda Chemicals’ request to terminate the asparagus use, which affects farmers, pesticide applicators, and sellers relying on that registered use.

Deadlines for sale and use of existing stocks

Existing stocks of Pilot 15G Chlorpyrifos (EPA Reg. No. 93182-8) may be sold or distributed until April 30, 2025; use on food or feed is permitted only until June 30, 2025 if such use follows the product labeling. Non-food uses of existing stocks are allowed until stocks are exhausted, but after those dates sale, distribution, or use is prohibited except for export or proper disposal, and failure to follow these provisions would violate FIFRA.
