Ten-year export ban for Daniel Lane
Daniel Ray Lane was denied all export privileges for a period of 10 years from his conviction and the Order remains in effect until June 11, 2034. He may not apply for, obtain, or use any export license or license exception under the Export Administration Regulations, and any BIS-issued licenses in which he had an interest at the time of his conviction are revoked.
Order can extend to related persons
The Order states that any other person, firm, corporation, or business organization related to Daniel Ray Lane by ownership, control, position of responsibility, affiliation, or other connection may also be made subject to the Order to prevent evasion. This means affiliates or connected businesses could be barred from export activities to stop attempts to get around the denial.
Prohibition on dealing with the Denied Person
From the date of this Order until June 11, 2034, no person may export, reexport, or transfer (in-country) to or on behalf of Daniel Ray Lane any item subject to the Regulations. The Order also bars actions that facilitate his acquisition or control of regulated items, obtaining items from him with knowledge they will be exported, or servicing items owned or controlled by him when such servicing involves regulated U.S.-origin items.
