Task Force guides research on AI/AN violence
The Task Force assists the National Institute of Justice in developing and implementing a program of research on violence against American Indian and Alaska Native women, covering domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, murder, and sex trafficking experienced by American Indian and Alaska Native women living in Indian country and Alaska. The Task Force meeting on February 10, 2025, will include new member introductions, updates on NIJ framing papers, and facilitated discussion to develop recommendations addressing these crimes.
Public meeting you can join
You can attend the Task Force meeting in person at 999 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001 or online on February 10, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern. Members of the public must register in advance no later than February 5, 2025, and the meeting includes a public comment period reserved from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with each speaker allowed about 3 to 5 minutes.
