Sentences Commuted for Named Individuals

The President commuted the sentences of 14 named people (including Stewart Rhodes, Kelly Meggs, Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Dominic Pezzola, and others) to time served as of January 20, 2025. If any of those people were still in prison, they are to be released immediately as of that date.

Full Pardons for Other Jan 6 Convictions

The President granted a full, complete, and unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of offenses related to events at or near the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The Attorney General is ordered to immediately issue certificates of pardon and ensure that anyone convicted for those events who is currently held in prison is released immediately, effective January 20, 2025.

Pending Jan 6 Indictments Dismissed

The President directed the Attorney General to pursue dismissal with prejudice of all pending indictments against individuals for conduct related to the January 6, 2021 events. This directs the Department of Justice to seek that those pending charges be dropped and not refiled.
