If you are a lineal descendant, Indian Tribe, or Native Hawaiian organization named with priority in this notice, the U.S. Navy intends to return Native American human remains and cultural items to you under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). This covers human remains, associated and unassociated funerary objects, sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony that were removed from Federal or Tribal lands.
