Analyzed Economic Effects
2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.
10% Fee on Hardware Procurement
If you are a User that uses colocation at the Mahwah Data Center (MDC), the Exchange proposes a hardware procurement service where FIDS would buy hardware for you and charge the procurement specialist's fees plus a 10% service fee payable to FIDS. The service would be optional and available to any potential User, and you could avoid the 10% fee by contracting directly with a procurement specialist.
10% Fee on Managed Services
If you are a User at the Mahwah Data Center, the Exchange proposes offering managed services where FIDS would engage a managed services provider and charge you the provider's fees plus a 10% service fee payable to FIDS. The managed services would be voluntary and available to any potential User on a non-discriminatory basis, and Users may instead hire managed services providers directly to avoid the 10% fee.
