Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

New Hardware Procurement Fee

If you are a market participant that colocates equipment at the Mahwah Data Center (MDC), FIDS would buy hardware for you through a procurement specialist and pass the specialist's fees to you plus a 10% service fee retained by FIDS. This is an optional service you can choose instead of contracting directly with hardware vendors.

New Managed Services Charge

If you colocate hardware at the MDC and buy managed IT services through FIDS, FIDS would charge you the managed services provider's fees plus a 10% service fee payable to FIDS. The managed services arrangement is optional and would let FIDS contract with a third-party on your behalf.

Services Offered Voluntarily and Equally

The proposed hardware procurement and managed services would be available on a voluntary, non-discriminatory basis to any potential User of the Exchange's colocation halls at the Mahwah Data Center. Only Users who choose these services would be charged the specialist fees plus the 10% FIDS service fee.
