Company will abandon offshore pipeline segments
Texas Eastern proposes to abandon parts of an inactive offshore gas pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico: remove about 7.06 miles of Line 40-B-3 (MP 0.00 to MP 7.06), abandon in place about 3.94 miles (MP 7.06 to MP 11.00), and remove about 0.17 miles (MP 11.00 to MP 11.17). Texas Eastern says this will allow it to eliminate future capital expenditures for ongoing maintenance and repair of those facilities.
